Personality: An easygoing, carefree person a heart, he takes life at his own pace. Although he comes across shy to others, he's very social and excitable. He does approach people now compared to his somewhat introverted personality he used to have. He has an extreme like for things that are abnormal and gets excited when he sees something out of the ordinary. Being random at times with his friends, he comes across as being a little immature. He’s been known to be very insensitive if he's not in a good mood. He can be really lazy at times, however after traveling with his girlfriend, Anita Rhiban, for 2 years in the Unova/Isshu Region for almost 2 years, he’s learned not to complain with walking for a long time, but he still dislikes it. He prefers cool climates over tropical ones, despite living in Sunyshore City during his childhood.

Born in Goldenrod City, he stayed until the age of 4, his parents deciding to move to Sunyshore City for better opportunities in their careers following his younger sister’s birth. Living in Sunyshore was fun for him as he was always outside playing with his sister Hikari, and his two neighbors, Saito and Moroko. However, 2 years before he was of age to become a Pokémon Trainer, he and Hikari were playing around the solar panel walk-ways, despite being told not to, Hikari slipped and was about to fall down the flight of steps. He jumped at his sister, protecting her as they both down the stairs, keeping her safe, but causing him to injure his back in the process. He blamed himself for the incident happening, seeing as he said there was no problem with playing there. He stayed in the hospital for almost a year, becoming distant with his parents from being scolded by them, staying closer with his sister and friends. When he turned 10 he refused to become a trainer, wanting to go back to Goldenrod City which they did the following year. He stuck around his home town, taking care of a Piplup that was probably abandoned by a trainer from Sinnoh, finding the Pokemon on the shores of the city when he was walking aimlessly not knowing what to do. After nursing the Pokemon back to health and finding a bit of inspiration from a certain trainer that was around his age, he promptly left his house to try and find out what he should do with his life.

He eventually set out to participate in the Ultimate Battle Frontier, where he showed up late due to several mishaps. He stayed there for the challenge and to test himself amongst the other competitors and made many friends and rivals as well. He left after the end of the competition where he lived with his sister for a while,(as his mother was currently competing in contests and his father was on a business trip for his new Novel) and traveling a bit before he moved out to Olivine City where he heard of a job opening at the Olivine Café, buying a small apartment there and falling in love with his current girlfriend, Anita Rhiban. At around the same time, his sister told him of the Helios Conference which piqued his interest. He entered in hopes to explore other means of Pokémon training, only to lose after the second round. In a bitter rage, he left Goldenrod City to travel around Johto to try and find what he should do once more before bumping into Hinari out of luck. With her words, coupled with Verity and Minato’s, he returned to Helios right as Anita’s round was in progress. He received coaching from Vaughn from this time and learned how to battle and raise his Pokemon better.

A year after Helios, he and Anita both set out to explore the Unova reigon. After a year of making new friends and such, Shiro found a job as a voice actor for a new Anime series he was reading up on. He recorded a season and attended his events (which took up half a year prior to BFOI) when Anita suggested they both prepare for a tournament she heard of. Unfortunately, a stroke of bad luck occurred when Anita was injured. Not wanting to participate in the unknown tournament due to her now broken leg, Anita tricked him into going to the Ohana Islands on ‘vacation’. As she was about to sign up, he instead told the receptionist that he was joining the tournament, in a desperate attempt to keep her from any danger the tournament may offer.

Miji - Oshawott/Mijumaru
Female

Miji is a Pokemon Shiro received as a gift for a successful Anime season. Miji is ALWAYS by Shiro's side and cheers on the team on the sidelines. She isn't afraid of anybody on the team and plays with all of them. Despite her appearance, she does know how to battle, she just prefers to be by Shiro.

Yui - Ampharos
Female

He found Yui in the grass randomly as a Flaffy and caught it without much trouble while he was in Lake of rage. He paid a lot of attention to her since she was his first Pokémon that he caught so she grew very attached to him. He tied a ribbon around her ear to try and make her more adorable than she was (in his eyes). She picked up his habits of being random and how excitable he was.

Though she took a break for Helios, Shiro took her with him to Unova and was dragged to the Ohana Islands as well. Not that she minds any.

Monkay - Infernape
Male

Monkay was a starter he received from Professor Rowan when he traveled to Sinnoh for the UBF. He trained him for a while and kept Monkay as a Monferno mainly because he prefers him like a Monferno but also to train him better since he is very hot-headed and loves to battle whenever he gets a chance. Him and Zelos usually train together and the like. He is very agile and usually gets into trouble and reprimanded for it by Shiro and Zelos, seeing as they are always together.

Shiro decided to allow Monkay to evolve shortly after Helios to train him even better. Although he's calmed down a bit, he still thinks he's a badass and is still a hothead. He itches to fight whenever he gets the chance.

Amy - Vaporeon
Female

Amy was hatched from an egg Anita gave Shiro for his 19th Birthday. She was evolved into a Vaporeon since Shiro wanted a water type to bring into when he left to Unova. She's a bit of a Tsundere and is a bit proud of her strength and elegance. Although she does soften up to Shiro, she does act rather cold to the rest of the team and Anita as well.

Morika - Kokoromori
Female

Captured by Shiro while she was a Kokoromori in the Groundwater Cave as a Koromori while he traveled Unova. She's very clingy to Shiro at times and does anything she can do to help him out. She is clumsy at times however, and it can cause for some hilarity to ensue.

Rin - Doredia
Female

Another Pokemon Shiro ran into during his Unova travels. This time in Yaguruma Forest, while he and Anita were relaxing in the forest as a Churine. She is moe, cute, and adorable. According to Shiro at least. She is the shyest of the team and clings to Yui, Amy, Miji and Shiro and is scared of Monkay Morika and Zyoru, despite them not harming anyone.

Zyoru - Doryuuzu
Male

Shiro caught him as a Mogurew in the Electric Rock Cave as he was exploring the cave along with Anita. He was captured at the same time Anita caught her Bachuru, Frizzle. Although he was clingy to Shiro, he became stoic as soon as he evolved to a Doryuuzu. He's a gentle Pokemon, but his outward appearance intimidates a lot of the Pokemon on Shiro's team. He usually plays with Miji but blushes when he's caught by Monkay, with whom he has a bit of a rivalry with.
